Gmail notification sound

The familiar Gmail notification sound!

The default Gmail notification sound is a distinctive "ding" or "beep" sound that is often associated with email notifications. However, you can customize the notification sound to your liking.

Here's how:

On Desktop:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account on your desktop.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "General" tab.
  5. Click on the "Play sound for new messages" dropdown menu and select "Customize..."
  6. Choose a sound from the list or upload your own sound file.
