Gmail outlook setup 2014

A blast from the past! Here's a step-by-step guide on how to set up Gmail and Outlook in 2014:

Gmail Setup:

  1. Go to Gmail.com and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings."
  3. Click on the "Accounts and Import" tab.
  4. Click on "Add a POP3 mail account" and enter your Outlook email address and password.
  5. Click "Add account" and then click "Next."
  6. Select the account type as "POP" and enter the following settings:
    • Incoming mail server: pop.outlook.com
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.outlook.com
    • Port: 995 (for incoming) and 587 (for outgoing)
  7. Click "Add account" and then click "Finish."

Outlook Setup:

  1. Open Outlook 2014 and go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
  2. Click on "New" and select "Manual setup or additional server types."
  3. Select "POP or IMAP" and click "Next."
  4. Enter the following settings:
    • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in Outlook.
    • Email Address: Your Outlook email address.
    • Account Type: POP3
    • Incoming mail server: pop.outlook.com
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.outlook.com
    • Port: 995 (for incoming) and 587 (for outgoing)
    • Username: Your Outlook email address
    • Password: Your Outlook email password
  5. Click "Next" and then click "Finish."

Syncing Gmail with Outlook:

  1. Once you've set up your Gmail account in Outlook, you can sync your emails, contacts, and calendar by clicking on the "Sync" button in the Outlook account settings.
  2. You can also set up Outlook to check your Gmail account at regular intervals by clicking on the "Schedule" button and selecting the frequency you prefer.
