Gmail pop settings for mail client
Here are the Gmail POP settings for a mail client:
POP Server:
- Server: pop.gmail.com
- Port: 995
- SSL/TLS: Yes
Username and Password:
- Username: Your full Gmail address (e.g., [your_email_address]@gmail.com)
- Password: Your Gmail password
Authentication:
- Authentication method: Use Normal Password
- Authentication username: Your full Gmail address (e.g., [your_email_address]@gmail.com)
- Authentication password: Your Gmail password
Other settings:
- Leave a copy of messages on the server: Yes (if you want to keep a copy of your emails on the server)
- Remove messages from server: No (if you want to keep a copy of your emails on the server)
- Check for new messages: Yes (if you want your mail client to check for new messages periodically)
Note:
- Make sure that IMAP is enabled in your Gmail settings. To do this, go to your Gmail settings, click on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab, and select "Enable IMAP".
- Also, make sure that your mail client is configured to use the correct port (995) and SSL/TLS encryption.
- If you're using a third-party mail client, you may need to configure it to use the Gmail POP server and settings above.

- Microsoft Outlook: Go to File > Account Settings > Account > More Settings > Advanced > Outgoing Server > Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
