Gmail set outlook 2003

A blast from the past!

To set up Gmail to work with Outlook 2003, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Configure Gmail to allow less secure apps

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
  4. Scroll down to the "Less secure app access" section.
  5. Select the checkbox next to "Allow less secure apps: YES."
  6. Click "Save Changes."

Step 2: Set up Outlook 2003 to connect to Gmail

  1. Open Outlook 2003 and go to "Tools" > "Account Settings."
  2. Click on "New" to add a new email account.
  3. Select "Internet Email" and click "Next."
  4. Enter your Gmail address and password.
  5. In the "Server Information" section, enter the following settings:
    • Server type: POP3
    • Server name: pop.gmail.com
    • Port: 995
    • Use SSL to connect: Yes
  6. Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.

Step 3: Configure Outlook 2003 to download emails from Gmail

  1. Go to "Tools" > "Account Settings" again.
  2. Select your Gmail account and click "Edit."
  3. In the "More Settings" dialog box, click on the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Under "Delivery," select the checkbox next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server."
  5. Set the "Expunge deleted items" option to "Never."
  6. Click "OK" to save the changes.

That's it! Your Outlook 2003 should now be set up to connect to your Gmail account.
