Gmail set outlook 2003
A blast from the past!
To set up Gmail to work with Outlook 2003, you'll need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Configure Gmail to allow less secure apps
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Less secure app access" section.
- Select the checkbox next to "Allow less secure apps: YES."
- Click "Save Changes."
Step 2: Set up Outlook 2003 to connect to Gmail
- Open Outlook 2003 and go to "Tools" > "Account Settings."
- Click on "New" to add a new email account.
- Select "Internet Email" and click "Next."
- Enter your Gmail address and password.
- In the "Server Information" section, enter the following settings:
- Server type: POP3
- Server name: pop.gmail.com
- Port: 995
- Use SSL to connect: Yes
- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.
Step 3: Configure Outlook 2003 to download emails from Gmail
- Go to "Tools" > "Account Settings" again.
- Select your Gmail account and click "Edit."
- In the "More Settings" dialog box, click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Under "Delivery," select the checkbox next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server."
- Set the "Expunge deleted items" option to "Never."
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
That's it! Your Outlook 2003 should now be set up to connect to your Gmail account.
