Gmail settings for outlook 2016
To set up Gmail with Outlook 2016, you'll need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Enable IMAP in Gmail
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
- Select the "Enable IMAP" radio button.
- Click "Save Changes."
Step 2: Set up Outlook 2016
- Open Outlook 2016 and go to "File" > "Add Account."
- Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next."
- Select "Internet Email" and click "Next."
- Enter the following information:
- Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in emails.
- Email Address: Your Gmail address.

- Set the "Outgoing server" to "TLS" or "SSL" depending on your preference.
- Click "OK" to close the "Advanced" tab and then "OK" again to close the "Change Account" window.

- Go to "File" > "Info" > "Account Settings" > "Account Settings" again.
- Select your Gmail account and click "Test Account Settings."
- If everything is set up correctly, you should see a success message.
