Gmail Tasks on Android!
Gmail Tasks is a feature that allows you to manage your to-do lists directly from your Gmail app on Android. Here's how to use it:
Enabling Gmail Tasks
- Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) on the top left corner.
- Tap "Settings" (gear icon).
- Scroll down to the "General" section.
- Toggle on "Tasks" to enable the feature.
Creating a Task
- Open an email that contains a task you want to complete.
- Tap the three vertical dots (more options) on the top right corner of the email.
- Tap "Task" to create a new task.
- Enter a title and description for your task.
- Set a due date and time if needed.
- Tap "Save" to create the task.
Managing Tasks
- To view your tasks, go to the Gmail app's main screen.
- Tap the "Tasks" tab at the bottom of the screen.
- You'll see a list of your tasks, including their titles, due dates, and status (e.g., "Not started", "In progress", or "Completed").
- Tap a task to view its details and edit its title, description, due date, or status.
- Swipe left or right on a task to mark it as completed or delete it.
Integrating with Google Calendar
- To integrate your tasks with Google Calendar, go to the Gmail app's settings (gear icon).
- Scroll down to the "Tasks" section.
- Toggle on "Integrate with Google Calendar".
- Choose the calendar you want to use for task reminders.
Tips and Tricks
- You can also create tasks from the Gmail app's search bar by typing "task" followed by your task title.
- You can prioritize your tasks by tapping the three vertical dots (more options) next to a task and selecting "Prioritize".
- You can also use voice commands to create tasks by saying "Ok Google, remind me to [task title]".
