Gmail threading turn off
Gmail's threading feature is designed to group related emails together, making it easier to follow conversations. However, if you find it annoying or want to disable it for a specific reason, you can turn it off. Here's how:
Method 1: Disable threading for a specific conversation
- Open the conversation you want to disable threading for.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the conversation.
- Select "View conversation in a new window" from the dropdown menu.
- This will open the conversation in a new window, and threading will be disabled for that conversation only.
Method 2: Disable threading for all conversations
- Sign in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "General" tab.
- Uncheck the box next to "Thread conversations" under the "Conversation view" section.
- Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
Method 3: Disable threading using a browser extension
If you're using a browser like Chrome or Firefox, you can use a browser extension to disable threading. Here are a few options:
- Gmail Thread Killer (Chrome): This extension allows you to disable threading for all conversations or specific conversations.
- Disable Gmail Thread (Firefox): This extension disables threading for all conversations.
Please note that disabling threading may affect your ability to follow conversations and may make it more difficult to find related emails.
