The dreaded Gmail recovery email!
If you've forgotten your Gmail password or are unable to access your account, you can try to recover it using the following steps:
Step 1: Go to the Gmail recovery page
Open a web browser and go to the Gmail recovery page: https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery
Step 2: Enter your email address
Enter the email address associated with your Gmail account in the "Email" field.
Step 3: Enter your recovery email
If you've set up a recovery email address, enter it in the "Recovery email" field. This is the email address that you used to set up your account recovery options.
Step 4: Enter your phone number (optional)
If you've set up two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account, you may be prompted to enter your phone number to receive a verification code.
Step 5: Enter the verification code (if required)
If you've set up 2FA, you'll receive a verification code via SMS or voice call. Enter this code in the "Verification code" field.
Step 6: Choose a password reset method
You'll be presented with two options:
a. Reset password: You can reset your password using the recovery email address or phone number associated with your account.
b. Get a verification code: You can receive a verification code via SMS or voice call to access your account.
Choose the method that's most convenient for you.
Step 7: Enter a new password
If you choose to reset your password, enter a new password in the "New password" and "Confirm new password" fields.
Step 8: Sign in to your account
Once you've reset your password, sign in to your Gmail account using your new password.
