Google email incoming server
Here are the steps to set up an incoming email server in Google:
Step 1: Enable IMAP
- Log in to your Google account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Scroll down to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
- Click on the "Enable IMAP" button.
Step 2: Find Your Incoming Server Settings
- Go to the Google Account settings page.
- Scroll down to the "Account permissions" section.
- Click on the "Manage permissions" button.
- Scroll down to the "Email" section.
- Click on the "Show advanced settings" link.
- Scroll down to the "Incoming mail (IMAP)" section.
- Note down the following settings:
- Server: imap.gmail.com
- Port: 993
- SSL/TLS: Yes
- Username: Your full Google email address (e.g., [yourname]@gmail.com)
- Password: Your Google account password
Step 3: Set Up Your Email Client
- Open your email client (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc.).
- Go to the settings or preferences section.
- Look for the "Incoming Mail Server" or "IMAP" settings.
- Enter the following settings:
- Server: imap.gmail.com
- Port: 993
- SSL/TLS: Yes
- Username: Your full Google email address (e.g., [yourname]@gmail.com)
- Password: Your Google account password
- Save your changes.
That's it! Your incoming email server should now be set up in Google.
