Google mail delay send
The frustration of delayed emails!
Google Mail (Gmail) has a feature called "Delay Send" that allows you to schedule your emails to be sent at a later time. This can be useful if you want to send an email at a specific time, such as when the recipient is likely to be available or when you want to send a reminder at a specific time.
Here's how to use the Delay Send feature in Gmail:
Method 1: Using the "Schedule Send" button
- Compose your email as you normally would.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the bottom of the compose window.
- Select "Schedule send" from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the date and time you want the email to be sent.
- Click "Schedule" to confirm.
Method 2: Using the "Delay Send" add-on
- Install the "Delay Send" add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
- Compose your email as you normally would.
- Click on the "Delay Send" button in the add-on toolbar.
- Choose the date and time you want the email to be sent.
- Click "Send" to confirm.
Tips and limitations
- The Delay Send feature is only available for emails sent from the Gmail web interface, not from the mobile app.
- You can only delay sending an email by up to 30 days.
- If you delay sending an email, it will be sent at the scheduled time, even if you're offline or your device is turned off.
- Delayed emails will be marked as "Scheduled" in your Sent folder until they are sent.
- If you try to send an email while it's already scheduled to be sent, you'll receive an error message.
