To mass delete emails in Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the "Select all" checkbox
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab to view your emails.
- Check the box at the top left corner of the page to select all emails on the current page.
- Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
- Select "Delete" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the selected emails by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Using search filters
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Search" bar at the top of the page.
- Type in a search query to find the emails you want to delete. For example, you can search for emails from a specific sender or with a specific subject.
- Click on the "Search" button.
- Check the box at the top left corner of the page to select all emails that match your search query.
- Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
- Select "Delete" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the selected emails by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.
Method 3: Using labels and filters
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Create a new label by clicking on the "Labels" tab and then clicking on "New label".
- Name the label something like "Delete me".
- Apply the label to the emails you want to delete by checking the box next to each email and then clicking on the "Apply label" button.
- Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter".
- Enter the label name you created in step 2 in the "From" field.
- Click on the "Create" button.
- Select "Delete" as the action for the filter.
- Confirm that you want to apply the filter by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.
Remember to be careful when mass deleting emails, as it's easy to accidentally delete important messages. Make sure to review the emails you're about to delete before confirming the deletion.
