Google reader gmail

A blast from the past!

Google Reader was a popular RSS feed aggregator service that allowed users to subscribe to and read news articles, blog posts, and other online content. It was launched in 2005 and was widely used until its shutdown in 2013.

Gmail, on the other hand, is a free email service provided by Google.

In the past, Google Reader had a feature that allowed users to receive email notifications when new content was published in their subscribed feeds. This feature was known as "Google Reader Digest" or "Reader Digest".

Here's how it worked:

  1. You would subscribe to RSS feeds in Google Reader.
  2. You would set up your Google Reader account to send you a daily or weekly digest of new content from your subscribed feeds.
  3. The digest would be sent to your Gmail account as an email.
  4. The email would contain a summary of the new content, including headlines, summaries, and links to the original articles.

This feature was convenient for users who wanted to stay up-to-date with their favorite blogs and news sources without having to constantly check the Google Reader website.

Although Google Reader is no longer available, you can still use other RSS feed aggregators and email services to receive notifications about new content. Some popular alternatives include Feedly, Inoreader, and NewsBlur.
