Has royal mail stopped striking

Royal Mail, the UK's postal service, has not stopped striking, but the situation has changed significantly since the initial dispute began.

In June 2022, Royal Mail workers, who are members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU), went on strike over issues such as pay, jobs, and conditions. The strike, which was the first in 114 years, lasted for several days and affected mail delivery across the UK.

However, in July 2022, Royal Mail and the CWU reached a tentative agreement on a new pay deal, which included a 5.5% pay rise for postal workers. The deal also addressed some of the other issues that had led to the strike, such as job security and working conditions.

As a result, the strike was suspended, and Royal Mail workers returned to work. While the dispute is not entirely resolved, the agreement has brought an end to the strike action for the time being.

It's worth noting that the CWU has not ruled out further industrial action if the agreement is not implemented as agreed or if other issues arise in the future. However, for now, Royal Mail services are operating normally, and mail delivery is continuing as usual.
