Have stimulus checks been mailed

The stimulus checks!

As of my knowledge cutoff in March 2023, the IRS has mailed out most of the Economic Impact Payments (EIPs), also known as stimulus checks, to eligible individuals and families. The payments were part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which was signed into law in March 2020.

Here's a brief update on the status of the stimulus checks:

  1. First round (2020): The IRS mailed out the first round of stimulus checks in April and May 2020. The payments were worth up to $1,200 per individual or $2,400 per married couple, with an additional $500 per child under 17.
  2. Second round (2021): The American Rescue Plan Act, signed into law in March 2021, provided for a second round of stimulus checks. The IRS mailed out these payments in March and April 2021. The second round of payments was worth up to $1,400 per individual or $2,800 per married couple, with an additional $1,400 per child under 18.
  3. Third round (2021): The Consolidated Appropriations Act, signed into law in December 2021, provided for a third round of stimulus checks. The IRS mailed out these payments in December 2021 and January 2022. The third round of payments was worth up to $1,400 per individual or $2,800 per married couple, with an additional $1,400 per child under 18.

If you haven't received your stimulus check yet, you can:

  1. Check your bank account: The IRS may have direct deposited the stimulus payment into your bank account.
  2. Use the IRS Get My Payment tool: This online tool allows you to check the status of your stimulus payment, including whether it was mailed or direct deposited.
  3. Contact the IRS: If you're still having issues, you can contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 or visit their website for more information.

Remember to keep an eye on your mail and bank accounts, as the IRS may have mailed or direct deposited your stimulus check.
