Heelmail outlook settings
Here are the Outlook settings for setting up an email account using IMAP:
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)
- Server name: imap.gmail.com (or imap.yourdomain.com if you have a custom domain)
- Port: 993
- Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Username: your email address
- Password: your email password
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
- Server name: smtp.gmail.com (or smtp.yourdomain.com if you have a custom domain)
- Port: 587
- Encryption: STARTTLS
- Username: your email address
- Password: your email password
Additional Settings
- Authentication: Normal password
- Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): unchecked
- Use same settings as my incoming mail server: checked
IMAP Settings
- Enable IMAP: checked
- IMAP Path Prefix: empty
- Use SSL to connect to the IMAP server: checked
SMTP Settings
- Use the same settings as my incoming mail server: checked
- Use SSL to connect to the SMTP server: checked
More Settings
- Leave a copy of messages on the server: unchecked
- Remove a copy of messages from the server: unchecked
- Set the maximum number of simultaneous connections: 1
Account Name
- Enter a name for your email account, such as "Personal Email"
Account Type
- Select "POP3" or "IMAP" depending on your email provider's recommendation
Advanced
- Root folder path: empty
- Special folders: checked
- Use the same settings as my incoming mail server: checked
OK
Once you've entered all the settings, click "OK" to save the changes.
Note: If you're using a custom domain, you may need to use a different server name and port. Additionally, some email providers may require you to enable IMAP or SMTP access in your account settings before you can use these settings.
