Host name for gmail incoming mail server

The hostname for Gmail's incoming mail server (also known as the POP3 or IMAP server) is:

pop.gmail.com

or

imap.gmail.com

Note that you may need to use imap.gmail.com if you're using IMAP to connect to your Gmail account, and pop.gmail.com if you're using POP3.

Also, keep in mind that you may need to enable IMAP or POP3 access in your Gmail account settings before you can use these hostnames. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click on the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
  5. Select the "Enable IMAP" or "Enable POP" checkbox, depending on which protocol you want to use.
  6. Click "Save Changes" to save your changes.

Once you've enabled IMAP or POP3 access, you can use the imap.gmail.com or pop.gmail.com hostname to connect to your Gmail account using a mail client or app.
