Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up a Hotmail account in Outlook:

Prerequisites:

• You have a Hotmail account (now known as Outlook.com) with a valid email address and password.
• You have Outlook installed on your computer or mobile device.
• You have a Microsoft account (if you don't have one, you can create one during the setup process).

Setup Hotmail account in Outlook:

Method 1: Set up Hotmail account in Outlook using IMAP

1. Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
2. Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.
3. Choose Internet Email and click Next.
4. Enter your Hotmail email address and password, and click Next.
5. Select IMAP as the account type and enter the following settings:
   • Incoming mail server: imap-mail.outlook.com
   • Outgoing mail server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
