Hotmail, now known as Outlook.com, has a built-in feature to block users from sending you emails. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to block a user in Hotmail:

Method 1: Block a user from the Inbox

  1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
  2. Go to your Inbox and find the email from the user you want to block.
  3. Hover your mouse over the email and click on the three dots that appear.
  4. Select "Block" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Confirm that you want to block the user by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.

Method 2: Block a user from the Contacts list

  1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
  2. Click on the "Contacts" tab.
  3. Find the contact you want to block and click on the three dots next to their name.
  4. Select "Block" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Confirm that you want to block the user by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.

Method 3: Block a user from the Junk Email folder

  1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
  2. Go to the Junk Email folder.
  3. Find the email from the user you want to block.
  4. Right-click on the email and select "Block" from the context menu.

Note: Blocking a user in Hotmail will prevent them from sending you emails, but it will not prevent them from sending you emails to other email addresses you may have.
