Hotmail block user manual
Hotmail, now known as Outlook.com, has a built-in feature to block users from sending you emails. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to block a user in Hotmail:
Method 1: Block a user from the Inbox
- Log in to your Hotmail account.
- Go to your Inbox and find the email from the user you want to block.
- Hover your mouse over the email and click on the three dots that appear.
- Select "Block" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the user by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Block a user from the Contacts list
- Log in to your Hotmail account.
- Click on the "Contacts" tab.
- Find the contact you want to block and click on the three dots next to their name.
- Select "Block" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the user by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 3: Block a user from the Junk Email folder
- Log in to your Hotmail account.
- Go to the Junk Email folder.
- Find the email from the user you want to block.
- Right-click on the email and select "Block" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the user by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Note: Blocking a user in Hotmail will prevent them from sending you emails, but it will not prevent them from sending you emails to other email addresses you may have.
Unblocking a user
If you want to unblock a user, you can follow these steps:
- Log in to your Hotmail account.
- Go to the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear icon) and click on it.
- Select "More Mail Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Blocked Senders" section.
- Click on the "Unblock" button next to the user's email address.
- Confirm that you want to unblock the user by clicking "Unblock" in the pop-up window.
