To set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Hotmail inbox, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Microsoft Authenticator app

  1. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the "+" icon to add a new account.
  3. Select "Email" and enter your Hotmail email address.
  4. Tap "Next" and then "Add".
  5. You will receive a verification code via SMS or email. Enter the code to complete the setup.
  6. You will be prompted to set up a PIN or password for the app.
  7. Once set up, you will receive a notification every time you sign in to your Hotmail account.
