Hotmail pop server
Hotmail, now known as Outlook.com, uses a POP3 (Post Office Protocol version 3) server to allow users to retrieve their email messages from their email client or mobile device. Here are the Hotmail POP server settings:
POP Server Settings:
- Server: pop.outlook.com
- Port: 995 (SSL/TLS)
- Username: Your Hotmail email address (e.g., [your email address]@hotmail.com)
- Password: Your Hotmail email password
Note:
- Make sure to use the correct username and password to access your Hotmail account.
- If you're using a third-party email client or app, you may need to configure the POP server settings manually.
- Hotmail recommends using the IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) protocol instead of POP3, as it allows for two-way synchronization of emails between your email client and the Hotmail server. To use IMAP, you can use the following settings:
- Server: imap.outlook.com
- Port: 993 (SSL/TLS)
- Username: Your Hotmail email address (e.g., [your email address]@hotmail.com)
- Password: Your Hotmail email password
Troubleshooting Tips:
- If you're having trouble connecting to the POP server, try checking your internet connection and firewall settings.
- Make sure that your email client or app is configured to use the correct POP server settings.
- If you're still having issues, try resetting your email client or app's settings to their default values.
