Hotmail shortcut for auto reply
You're looking for a shortcut to set up an auto-reply in Hotmail!
Unfortunately, Hotmail no longer exists as a standalone email service. In 2013, Microsoft rebranded Hotmail as Outlook.com, and the service has since been integrated with the Outlook email client.
However, you can still set up an auto-reply in Outlook.com using the following steps:
- Log in to your Outlook.com account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner of the page.
- Select "View all Outlook settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Mail" section.
- Click on "Automatic replies" under the "Compose and respond" section.
- Toggle the switch to "On" to enable automatic replies.
- Set the start and end dates for the auto-reply period.
- Enter the message you want to send as an auto-reply.
- Click "Save" to save your changes.
Alternatively, you can also set up an auto-reply using the Outlook desktop app or mobile app. Here's how:

- Set the start and end dates for the auto-reply period.
- Enter the message you want to send as an auto-reply.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Outlook Mobile App:
- Open the Outlook mobile app.
- Tap the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner of the screen.
- Tap "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "Mail" section.
- Tap "Automatic replies".
- Toggle the switch to "On".
- Set the start and end dates for the auto-reply period.
- Enter the message you want to send as an auto-reply.
- Tap "Save" to save your changes.
