Hotmail.fr outlook
A French connection!
Hotmail.fr is a French version of the popular web-based email service Hotmail, which was later rebranded as Outlook.com. Here's what you need to know:
Hotmail.fr
Hotmail.fr is a French-language version of Hotmail, which was launched in 1996 by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. It was one of the first free web-based email services, allowing users to access their email accounts from anywhere with an internet connection.
In 2012, Microsoft acquired Hotmail and rebranded it as Outlook.com, which is now the default domain for new Hotmail accounts. However, existing Hotmail.fr accounts were not automatically migrated to Outlook.com, and users can still access their accounts using the hotmail.fr domain.
Outlook.com
Outlook.com is a web-based email service provided by Microsoft, which was launched in 2012. It replaced Hotmail as the default email service for Microsoft accounts. Outlook.com offers a range of features, including:
- A modern and intuitive interface
- Integration with other Microsoft services, such as Office Online and OneDrive
- Advanced security features, such as two-factor authentication and encryption
- Support for multiple email accounts and calendars
Using Hotmail.fr with Outlook
If you have a Hotmail.fr account, you can still access it using the Outlook.com interface. To do so:
- Go to outlook.com and sign in with your Hotmail.fr email address and password.
- You will be prompted to upgrade to Outlook.com, but you can choose to keep using the Hotmail.fr interface.
- You can access your Hotmail.fr account using the Outlook.com interface, but you will still be able to use the hotmail.fr domain to access your account.
It's worth noting that while Hotmail.fr accounts can be accessed using Outlook.com, they are not the same as Outlook.com accounts. If you want to use the Outlook.com interface and features, you may want to consider creating a new Outlook.com account or upgrading your Hotmail.fr account to Outlook.com.
