How can i send mail directly from outlook to onenote
There isn't a built-in feature in Outlook to send an email directly to OneNote. However, you can use a workaround to achieve this:
Method 1: Using the "Print" feature
- Open the email you want to send to OneNote in Outlook.
- Click on the "Print" button in the top right corner of the Outlook window.
- In the "Print" dialog box, select "Save as PDF" as the printer.
- Choose a location to save the PDF file, and then click "Save".
- Open OneNote and create a new note or select an existing one.
- Click on the "Insert" tab in the OneNote ribbon.
- Click on "File" > "Print" > "PDF" and select the PDF file you just saved.
- The email content will be inserted into your OneNote note.
Method 2: Using the "Send to" feature
- Open the email you want to send to OneNote in Outlook.
- Right-click on the email and select "Send to" > "OneNote" (if you have OneNote installed on your system).
- If you don't see "OneNote" in the "Send to" menu, you can add it by following these steps:
- Go to the "File" menu in Outlook and select "Options".
- Click on "Add-ins" and then click on "Manage".
- In the "Add-ins" dialog box, select "COM Add-ins" and click "Go".
- Check the box next to "OneNote" and click "OK".
- Restart Outlook and try the "Send to" feature again.
Method 3: Using a third-party add-in
There are several third-party add-ins available that allow you to send emails directly to OneNote. Some popular options include:
- OneNote Outlook Add-in: This add-in allows you to send emails directly to OneNote and also provides other features like email organization and search.
- Outlook OneNote Integration: This add-in provides a "Send to OneNote" button in Outlook that allows you to send emails directly to OneNote.
Please note that these add-ins may require you to sign up for a free trial or purchase a subscription to use the full features.
