How can you delete yourself from google mail

A rather existential question!

Deleting yourself from Google Mail (Gmail) is not a straightforward process, as it's a part of your Google account. However, I'll guide you through the steps to remove your account from Gmail and Google's services.

Important: Before proceeding, please note that deleting your Google account will also delete all associated data, including:

  1. Gmail account
  2. Google Drive files
  3. Google Photos
  4. Google Calendar events
  5. Google Contacts
  6. Google Play Store purchases and downloads
  7. Google Maps history
  8. Google Search history

If you're sure you want to delete your account, follow these steps:

Method 1: Delete your Google account

  1. Sign in to your Google account on a computer.
  2. Go to the Google Account settings page.
  3. Click on "Data & personalization" from the menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Delete your account or service" section.
  5. Click on "Delete your Google account."
  6. Enter your password and confirm that you want to delete your account.
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the deletion process.

Method 2: Delete your Gmail account only

  1. Sign in to your Gmail account on a computer.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select "See all settings."
  4. Scroll down to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
  5. Click on "Delete your account."
  6. Confirm that you want to delete your Gmail account.
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the deletion process.

What happens after deletion:

After deleting your Google account, you'll no longer be able to access any Google services, including Gmail. Your account will be permanently deleted, and all associated data will be erased.

Note: If you're using a Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) account, you'll need to contact your administrator to delete your account.

Before taking the final step, make sure you've backed up any important data and have alternative email accounts set up.
