How do i import pst file into windows live mail

Windows Live Mail (WLM) does not natively support importing PST files. PST files are proprietary to Microsoft Outlook, and WLM is a separate email client. However, there are a few workarounds to import PST files into Windows Live Mail:

Method 1: Use Outlook Express

  1. Install Outlook Express (OE) on your computer if you don't already have it. You can download it from Microsoft's website.
  2. Open Outlook Express and create a new profile.
  3. Import the PST file into Outlook Express by going to File > Import > Personal Folders File (.pst).
  4. Once the PST file is imported, you can export the emails as EML files.
  5. Open Windows Live Mail and go to File > Import > Email Messages.
  6. Select the EML files you exported from Outlook Express and import them into Windows Live Mail.

Method 2: Use a third-party converter

  1. Download and install a PST to EML converter software, such as PST Viewer, PST Converter, or PST to EML Converter.
  2. Run the converter software and select the PST file you want to import.
  3. Choose the output format as EML and select a location to save the converted files.
  4. Once the conversion is complete, open Windows Live Mail and go to File > Import > Email Messages.
  5. Select the EML files you converted and import them into Windows Live Mail.

Method 3: Use a third-party email client

  1. Install a third-party email client that supports PST files, such as Mozilla Thunderbird or The Bat!
  2. Import the PST file into the email client using its built-in import feature.
  3. Once the PST file is imported, you can export the emails as EML files.
  4. Open Windows Live Mail and go to File > Import > Email Messages.
  5. Select the EML files you exported and import them into Windows Live Mail.

Please note that these methods may not work perfectly, and you may encounter issues with formatting, attachments, or other data. It's always a good idea to back up your PST file before attempting to import it into another email client.
