How do you block a contact in mail on iphone
To block a contact in the Mail app on your iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open the Mail app and go to the "Contacts" tab.
- Find the contact you want to block and swipe left on their name.
- Tap "Block this Contact" from the menu that appears.
- Confirm that you want to block the contact by tapping "Block" in the pop-up alert.
Alternatively, you can also block a contact from the "Recents" tab:
- Open the Mail app and go to the "Recents" tab.
- Find the email from the contact you want to block and swipe left on their name.
- Tap "Block this Contact" from the menu that appears.
- Confirm that you want to block the contact by tapping "Block" in the pop-up alert.
Once you've blocked a contact, you won't receive any further emails from them, and their emails will be automatically moved to the "Junk" folder.
Note: Blocking a contact only blocks their emails, not their phone number or other contact information. If you want to block a contact's phone number, you'll need to use the "Do Not Disturb" feature or block their number in the Phone app.
