To block contact information in Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Block a sender's email address
- Open your Gmail inbox and find the email from the sender you want to block.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Block [sender's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Block a sender's domain
- Open your Gmail inbox and find the email from the sender you want to block.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Report spam" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Report spam" window, click on the "Block [sender's domain]" button.
Method 3: Block a contact
- Open your Gmail contacts list by clicking on the "Contacts" button in the top navigation bar.
- Find the contact you want to block and click on the three vertical dots next to their name.
- Select "Block [contact's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the contact by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Once you've blocked a sender, their emails will be automatically marked as spam and moved to your spam folder. You can also block senders from the "Spam" tab in your Gmail settings.
Note: Blocking a sender does not delete their email from your inbox, but it will prevent them from sending you emails in the future.
