How do you delete a folder in yahoo mail

Unfortunately, Yahoo Mail does not allow you to delete folders directly. However, you can achieve the same result by renaming the folder to a special name that will effectively delete it. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Click on the "Folders" tab on the left side of the screen.
  3. Find the folder you want to delete and hover your mouse over it.
  4. Click on the three vertical dots that appear next to the folder name.
  5. Select "Rename" from the dropdown menu.
  6. Type a single period (.) as the new name for the folder, and click "Save".

This will effectively delete the folder, and it will no longer appear in your folder list. Note that this method only works for folders, not for emails or attachments.

Alternatively, you can also use the "Move to Trash" feature to move the folder to the Trash folder, and then permanently delete it from there. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Click on the "Folders" tab on the left side of the screen.
  3. Find the folder you want to delete and hover your mouse over it.
  4. Click on the three vertical dots that appear next to the folder name.
  5. Select "Move to Trash" from the dropdown menu.
  6. Confirm that you want to move the folder to the Trash folder.
  7. Go to the Trash folder and select the folder you want to delete.
  8. Click on the "Empty Trash" button to permanently delete the folder.
