How gmail send mail only inbox
By default, Gmail sends emails to the "Inbox" folder. However, there are a few ways to configure Gmail to send emails to a specific folder or label:
Method 1: Using the "Send & Archive" feature
- Go to your Gmail settings (gear icon) > See all settings.
- Click on the "General" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Send & archive" section.
- Check the box next to "Send & archive" to enable this feature.
- From now on, when you send an email, it will be automatically archived in the "All Mail" folder.
Method 2: Using labels
- Create a new label by clicking on the "Labels" tab in your Gmail settings.
- Name the label (e.g., "Only Inbox").
- Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on "Create a new filter".
- Enter the label name in the "To" field.
- Click "Create filter".
- From now on, when you send an email, you can apply the "Only Inbox" label to it.
Method 3: Using filters
- Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab in your Gmail settings.
- Click on "Create a new filter".
- Enter the criteria for the filter (e.g., "To: [your email address]").
- Click "Create filter".
- In the "Apply the label" section, select the "Only Inbox" label.
- Click "Create filter".
Method 4: Using a third-party add-on
There are several third-party add-ons available that can help you send emails to a specific folder or label. For example, you can use the "Gmail Labels" add-on to create custom labels and apply them to emails.
Please note that these methods may have some limitations or side effects, such as:
- Method 1: Send & Archive may not work if you have multiple accounts or labels.
- Method 2: Labels may not be visible in the inbox or may be lost if you delete the label.
- Method 3: Filters may not work if you have multiple filters with the same criteria.
- Method 4: Third-party add-ons may require additional setup or may have limitations.
It's always a good idea to test these methods in a test environment before applying them to your production account.
