How long are royal mail 739 cards valid for
According to Royal Mail's website, the validity period for their 739 cards (also known as "Proof of Posting" cards) is as follows:
- For domestic mail (sent within the UK): 12 months from the date of posting.
- For international mail (sent outside the UK): 12 months from the date of posting, but only if the item is sent by airmail. If sent by surface mail, the validity period is 18 months.
It's worth noting that the 739 card is only valid if it is completed and signed by the sender, and if the item is posted with the correct postage and in a suitable condition for posting.
After the validity period has expired, Royal Mail will no longer accept claims for missing or lost items that were posted using a 739 card.
