How many stamps do you need to send mail
The number of stamps needed to send mail depends on the weight and size of the mailpiece, as well as the destination. Here are some general guidelines:
First-Class Mail

- Large envelopes (up to 1 oz): 1 stamp (currently $0.55)
- Flats (up to 13.5 oz): 1 stamp (currently $0.55) for the first ounce, plus $0.15 for each additional ounce
Priority Mail
