How to access google mail drop
Google Mail Drop is a feature that allows you to send large files to others, even if they're not Gmail users. Here's how to access and use it:
Accessing Google Mail Drop:
- Sign in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Compose" button to start a new email.
- Click on the "Attach file" button.
- Select the file you want to send from your computer or device.
- If the file is larger than 25MB, you'll see a message saying "File too large" and an option to "Use Google Drive" or "Use Mail Drop".
- Click on "Use Mail Drop" to send the file using Mail Drop.
Using Google Mail Drop:
- Once you've selected "Use Mail Drop", you'll be given a link to share with the recipient.
- The link will be valid for 7 days, and the recipient can download the file from the link.
- You can also add a message to the recipient explaining what the file is and why you're sending it.
- When the recipient clicks on the link, they'll be able to download the file directly from Google's servers, without having to sign in to Gmail.
Tips and Limitations:
- Mail Drop is only available for files up to 2GB in size.
- The recipient doesn't need a Gmail account to download the file.
- The link will expire after 7 days, so make sure the recipient downloads the file before then.
- If the recipient tries to download the file after the link has expired, they'll get an error message.
I hope that helps!
