How to add a gmail account to apple mail

To add a Gmail account to Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:

On a Mac:

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + comma).
  3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window.
  5. Select "Other Mail Account" from the dropdown menu.
  6. Enter your Gmail address and password in the required fields.
  7. Click "Continue".
  8. Select "IMAP" as the account type (this allows you to access your Gmail inbox and send emails from Apple Mail).
  9. Enter the following settings:
    • Host Name: imap.gmail.com
