How to add a new folder on mac mail

To add a new folder in Mac Mail, follow these steps:

  1. Open Mac Mail: You can find Mac Mail in the Applications folder or use Spotlight to search for it.
  2. Select the mailbox: In the left sidebar, select the mailbox where you want to create the new folder. For example, if you want to create a new folder in your Inbox, select "Inbox" from the sidebar.
  3. Click on "File" menu: Click on the "File" menu at the top of the screen.
  4. Select "New Folder": From the drop-down menu, select "New Folder".
  5. Enter the folder name: In the "New Folder" dialog box, enter a name for your new folder. You can also choose a location for the folder by clicking on the "Location" dropdown menu.
  6. Click "Create": Click the "Create" button to create the new folder.

Alternatively, you can also create a new folder by:

  1. Right-clicking (or control-clicking) on the mailbox in the sidebar.
  2. Selecting "New Folder" from the context menu.
  3. Following the same steps as above to enter the folder name and location.

Once you've created the new folder, you can move emails into it by dragging and dropping them into the folder or by using the "Move to" feature in the "Edit" menu.

Note: You can also create subfolders by creating a new folder within an existing folder. Simply follow the same steps as above, but select the existing folder as the location for the new subfolder.
