How to add dl mail in outlook
To add a DL (Distribution List) in Outlook, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Create a new DL from scratch
- Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "New Contact" button in the "New" group.
- In the "Create a new contact" window, enter a name for your DL in the "First name" and "Last name" fields.
- Click on the "Add Members" button.
- In the "Add Members" window, enter the email addresses of the people you want to add to the DL, one per line.
- Click "OK" to add the members.
- Click "Save & Close" to save the new contact.
Method 2: Convert an existing contact group to a DL
- Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Contacts" button in the "Navigation" group.
- In the "Contacts" folder, find the contact group you want to convert to a DL.
- Right-click on the contact group and select "Convert to Distribution List".
- In the "Convert to Distribution List" window, enter a name for your DL and click "OK".
Method 3: Import a DL from a CSV file
- Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Contacts" button in the "Navigation" group.
- In the "Contacts" folder, right-click and select "Import/Export".
- In the "Import/Export" window, select "Import from another program or file" and click "Next".
- Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" as the file type and click "Browse" to select the CSV file containing the DL members.
- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to import the DL.
Adding a DL to an email
- Compose a new email in Outlook.
- In the "To" field, start typing the name of the DL you created.
- As you type, Outlook will suggest the DL name. Select it from the dropdown list.
- The email will be sent to all members of the DL.
Note: To manage your DLs, you can right-click on the DL in the "Contacts" folder and select "Properties" to edit the DL's settings, such as its name, description, and members.
