How to block a gmail id from mail

There are a few ways to block a Gmail ID from sending you emails:

Method 1: Block sender's email address

  1. Open your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click on the gear icon () and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on "Create a new filter."
  5. Enter the email address of the sender you want to block in the "From" field.
  6. Click on "Create filter."
  7. Select "Block" as the action.
  8. Click on "Create."

Method 2: Block sender's domain

  1. Open your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click on the gear icon () and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on "Create a new filter."
  5. Enter the domain name of the sender you want to block (e.g., @example.com) in the "To" field.
  6. Click on "Create filter."
  7. Select "Block" as the action.
  8. Click on "Create."

Method 3: Block sender's IP address

  1. Open your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click on the gear icon () and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on "Create a new filter."
  5. Enter the IP address of the sender you want to block (e.g., 192.0.2.1) in the "IP address" field.
  6. Click on "Create filter."
  7. Select "Block" as the action.
  8. Click on "Create."

Method 4: Report spam

If you're not comfortable blocking the sender's email address, you can report the email as spam. This will help Gmail's algorithms learn to recognize similar emails as spam in the future.

  1. Open the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Report spam" from the dropdown menu.

Note: Blocking a sender's email address or domain will prevent them from sending you emails, but it won't prevent them from sending emails to your other email accounts or contacts.
