How to block a mail addressee in gmail

To block an email addressee in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Block an email address

  1. Open your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  5. Click on "Create a new filter".
  6. Enter the email address you want to block in the "From" field.
  7. Click on "Create filter".
  8. Select "Block" as the action.
  9. Click on "Create" to save the filter.

Method 2: Block an email sender

  1. Open your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots next to the email from the sender you want to block.
  3. Select "Block [sender's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking on "Block" in the pop-up window.

Method 3: Block an email sender using the "Report spam" feature

  1. Open your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots next to the email from the sender you want to block.
  3. Select "Report spam" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to report the email as spam by clicking on "Report spam" in the pop-up window.
  5. Gmail will automatically block the sender's email address.

Once you block an email address, any future emails from that address will be automatically sent to your Spam folder. You can also report spam emails to help Gmail's algorithms improve their spam detection.

Note: Blocking an email address does not delete any existing emails from that sender in your inbox.
