How to block an email in mail

To block an email in Mail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Block an email from the Inbox

  1. Open the Mail app on your device.
  2. Go to your Inbox and find the email you want to block.
  3. Swipe left on the email to reveal the "More" options.
  4. Tap "Block" to block the sender's email address.

Method 2: Block an email from the Junk folder

  1. Open the Mail app on your device.
  2. Go to the Junk folder and find the email you want to block.
  3. Tap and hold on the email until a menu appears.
  4. Tap "Block" to block the sender's email address.

Method 3: Block an email from the Contacts app

  1. Open the Contacts app on your device.
  2. Find the contact associated with the email address you want to block.
  3. Tap the contact's name to open their contact card.
  4. Tap "Edit" in the top-right corner.
  5. Scroll down to the "Email" section and tap the "Block" button next to the email address.

Method 4: Block an email using the Mail settings

  1. Open the Mail app on your device.
  2. Tap the "Mail" button in the top-left corner to go back to the main Mail screen.
  3. Tap the "Settings" icon (looks like a gear) in the top-right corner.
  4. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section and tap on the account associated with the email address you want to block.
  5. Tap "Block" next to the email address.

Once you block an email, it will be moved to the Junk folder and you won't receive any further emails from that sender. Note that blocking an email address only blocks emails from that specific sender, not from other senders who may be using the same email address.
