How to block an email sender in mac mail

To block an email sender in Mac Mail, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Mac Mail and select the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen and select "Block Sender" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Alternatively, you can also right-click (or control-click) on the email and select "Block Sender" from the context menu.
  4. A confirmation dialog box will appear asking if you're sure you want to block the sender. Click "Block" to confirm.

Once you've blocked a sender, any future emails from that sender will be automatically moved to the "Junk" mailbox. You can also choose to block the sender's domain or IP address, which will block all emails from that domain or IP address.

To block a sender's domain or IP address, follow these steps:

  1. Open Mac Mail and select the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen and select "Block Sender" from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the "Block Sender" dialog box, select the "Block this sender's domain" or "Block this sender's IP address" option.
  4. Click "Block" to confirm.

Note that blocking a sender's domain or IP address may also block emails from other senders who use the same domain or IP address. If you're unsure about blocking a sender's domain or IP address, you may want to consult with your email provider or IT department for guidance.

It's also worth noting that Mac Mail has a built-in feature called "Junk Mail" that can help filter out spam emails. You can enable or disable this feature by going to Mail > Preferences > Junk Mail.
