How to call back sent mail in gmail
In Gmail, you can recall or "undo send" an email that you've already sent, but only within a short period of time. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Make sure you have the "Undo Send" feature enabled in your Gmail settings. To do this, go to Settings (gear icon) > General > Undo Send, and select a time period (e.g., 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds).
- After sending an email, you'll see a "Undo" link at the top of the page. Click on it within the specified time period to recall the email.
Method 2: Using the "Undo Send" button
- After sending an email, you'll see a "Undo Send" button at the top of the page. Click on it within the specified time period to recall the email.
Method 3: Using the "Undo Send" feature in the Gmail app
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
- After sending an email, tap the "Undo" button at the top of the screen within the specified time period to recall the email.
Important notes:
- The "Undo Send" feature only works for emails sent from the Gmail web interface or the Gmail app. It doesn't work for emails sent from other email clients or devices.
- The feature only works for a short period of time, usually 5-30 seconds, depending on your settings.
- If you've already sent an email and want to recall it, but the "Undo Send" feature is no longer available, you can try contacting the recipient and asking them to delete the email.
