Additional Tips
- If you're moving, you'll need to update your address with the USPS to ensure that your mail is forwarded to your new address.
- If you're canceling mail due to a change in address, you may need to fill out a change of address form (PS Form 3575) and submit it to the USPS.
- If you're canceling mail due to a temporary absence, you may want to consider holding your mail instead of canceling it. This way, your mail will be held at the post office for a specified period of time.
Remember to cancel your mail at least 7-10 days before you want the cancellation to take effect. This will ensure that any mail sent to your address after the cancellation date is not delivered to you.
