How to cc someone in outlook mail
To CC someone in an Outlook email, follow these steps:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the person you want to send the email to.
- In the "CC" field, enter the email address of the person you want to CC (carbon copy). You can do this by:
- Typing the email address directly into the "CC" field.
- Clicking on the "CC" button next to the "To" field and selecting the email address from your contacts list.
- Using the "Address Book" feature to search for the email address and add it to the "CC" field.
- Separate multiple CC recipients with a semicolon (;) or a comma (,).
- Click "Send" to send the email.
Note: When you CC someone, they will receive a copy of the email, but they will not be able to reply to the email directly. They can only reply to the original sender.
Also, you can use the "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy) field to send an email to multiple recipients without including their email addresses in the "To" or "CC" fields. To do this, follow the same steps as above, but select the "BCC" field instead of the "CC" field.
Here are some additional tips:
- You can also use the "CC" field to send an email to a distribution list or a group of people.
- If you want to send an email to multiple people and include their email addresses in the "To" field, you can use the "To" field and separate the email addresses with a semicolon (;) or a comma (,).
- You can also use the "CC" field to send an email to someone who is not a recipient of the original email, but you want to keep them informed about the conversation.
- When you CC someone, make sure to include a clear subject line and a brief summary of the email so that the recipient knows what the email is about.
