How to change mail id on gst portal

To change your email ID on the GST portal, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to the GST portal

Go to the GST portal website (www.gst.gov.in) and log in using your credentials (username and password).
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking on the "Forgot Password" link.

Step 2: Go to the "Profile" section

After logging in, click on the "Profile" tab on the top right corner of the page.
This will take you to the "Profile" page, where you can view and edit your profile information.

Step 3: Click on "Update Profile"

On the "Profile" page, click on the "Update Profile" button.
This will take you to the "Update Profile" page, where you can edit your profile information.

Step 4: Update your email ID

Scroll down to the "Email ID" section and click on the "Edit" button.
Enter your new email ID in the "Email ID" field.
Re-enter your new email ID in the "Confirm Email ID" field to confirm the change.
Click on the "Save" button to save the changes.

Step 5: Verify your new email ID

After updating your email ID, you will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your new email ID.
Enter the OTP in the "Verify OTP" field on the GST portal to verify your new email ID.

Step 6: Update your login credentials (optional)

If you want to update your login credentials (username and password) to match your new email ID, you can do so by clicking on the "Update Login Credentials" button on the "Update Profile" page.
Enter your new username and password, and re-enter them to confirm the change.

Important notes:

Make sure to update your email ID on all your GST-related documents and records, including your GST registration certificate, GST returns, and other communications.
If you are using a business email ID, ensure that the new email ID is also accessible by the authorized person(s) of your business.
