How to change mail subject in gmail

To change the subject of an email in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Edit the email

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Find the email you want to edit and open it.
  3. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  4. Select "Edit" from the dropdown menu.
  5. In the "Subject" field, type in the new subject you want to use.
  6. Click on the "Save" button to save the changes.

Method 2: Use the "Move to" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Find the email you want to edit and open it.
  3. Click on the "Move to" button at the top of the email.
  4. Select "Inbox" or any other folder you want to move the email to.
  5. In the "Move to" window, click on the "Edit" button next to the subject field.
  6. Type in the new subject you want to use.
  7. Click on the "Save" button to save the changes.

Method 3: Use the "Reply" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Find the email you want to edit and open it.
  3. Click on the "Reply" button at the top of the email.
  4. In the "Reply" window, type in the new subject you want to use in the "Subject" field.
  5. Click on the "Send" button to send the reply with the new subject.

Note: You can only change the subject of an email if you are the sender or if you have permission to edit the email. If you are trying to change the subject of an email that was sent to you, you will not be able to do so.
