How to change name in e mail account
Changing the name associated with an email account can be a bit tricky, as it depends on the email provider you're using. Here are the general steps to change your name in an email account:
Gmail (Google)
- Sign in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.

- Enter your new name in the "First name" and "Last name" fields.
- Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
Yahoo Mail
- Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account.

- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Account Info" section.
- Click on "Edit" next to "Name."
- Enter your new name in the "First name" and "Last name" fields.
- Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
Outlook.com (Microsoft)
- Sign in to your Outlook.com account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "View all Outlook settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Accounts" tab.
- Click on "Edit info" next to "Name."
- Enter your new name in the "First name" and "Last name" fields.
- Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
Other email providers
If you're using a different email provider, such as AOL, Hotmail, or iCloud, the process may be similar. You can usually find the settings by clicking on the gear icon or the account settings icon and following the prompts.
