How to change password in windows live mail
To change your password in Windows Live Mail, follow these steps:
Method 1: Change Password from Windows Live Mail
- Open Windows Live Mail on your computer.
- Click on the "File" menu and select "Account Settings".
- In the "Account Settings" window, click on the "Email" tab.
- Select your email account from the list of accounts.
- Click on the "Change" button next to the "Password" field.
- Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Method 2: Change Password from Windows Live Account Settings
- Open a web browser and go to the Windows Live website (www.live.com).
- Sign in with your Windows Live ID and password.
- Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner of the page, then select "Account settings".
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Password" section.
- Click on the "Change password" button.
- Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
- Click "Save" to save the changes.
Note: If you're using a Microsoft account (formerly known as a Windows Live ID) to sign in to Windows Live Mail, you'll need to change your password through the Microsoft account settings page. Follow these steps:
- Go to the Microsoft account settings page (account.microsoft.com).
- Sign in with your Microsoft account and password.
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Password" section.
- Click on the "Change password" button.
- Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
- Click "Save" to save the changes.
