How to check if a yahoo mail has been read

Unfortunately, Yahoo Mail doesn't provide a direct way to check if an email has been read. However, there are a few workarounds you can try:

  1. Check the email's "Seen" status: When you open an email in Yahoo Mail, it will mark the email as "Seen" in the inbox. You can check the email's status by hovering over the email in your inbox. If it says "Seen" next to the email, it means the email has been opened.
  2. Look for the "Read" indicator: Some Yahoo Mail themes display a small "Read" indicator next to the email subject line. If you see this indicator, it means the email has been opened.
  3. Check the email's headers: You can check the email's headers to see if the email has been opened. To do this, click on the three dots next to the email subject line and select "View original". Then, look for the "Received" headers. If you see multiple "Received" headers with different dates and times, it may indicate that the email has been opened.
  4. Use a third-party add-on or extension: There are several third-party add-ons and extensions available that can help you track email opens, including for Yahoo Mail. Some popular options include:
    • Boomerang: A browser extension that allows you to track email opens, as well as send reminders and schedule emails.
    • Sanebox: A browser extension that helps you manage your email inbox by filtering out unimportant emails and tracking email opens.
    • Email Tracker: A Chrome extension that allows you to track email opens and clicks.

Please note that these workarounds may not always be accurate, as the recipient may have opened the email using a different device or browser. Additionally, some email clients or services may not display the "Seen" status or other indicators.
