How to check mail header in outlook 2013
In Outlook 2013, you can check the mail header by following these steps:
Method 1: Using the "View" tab
- Open the email message you want to check the header for.
- Click on the "View" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "View Settings" button in the "Current View" group.
- In the "View Settings" dialog box, click on the "Other Settings" button.
- Scroll down to the "Headers" section and check the box next to "Show headers".
- Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
Method 2: Using the "Message" tab
- Open the email message you want to check the header for.
- Click on the "Message" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Properties" button in the "Tags" group.
- In the "Message Properties" dialog box, click on the "Internet Headers" tab.
- The mail header will be displayed in the "Internet Headers" tab.
Method 3: Using the "F12" key
- Open the email message you want to check the header for.
- Press the "F12" key on your keyboard.
- The mail header will be displayed in a new window.
The mail header will display information such as:
- The sender's email address
- The recipient's email address
- The subject of the email
- The date and time the email was sent
- The IP address of the sender's mail server
- The authentication information (e.g. SPF, DKIM, etc.)
Note: The mail header may be truncated or not displayed at all if the email message has been processed by a mail server or if the sender has configured their email client to hide the header information.
