How to check receiver has seen the mail in gmail
In Gmail, you can check if a recipient has seen or opened an email you sent using the "Delivered" and "Read" labels. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the Gmail Inbox
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab.
- Find the email you sent to the recipient.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to the email subject.
- Click on "Show original" from the dropdown menu.
- In the email source code, look for the "Delivered" and "Read" labels. If they are present, it means the recipient has seen or opened the email.
Method 2: Using the Gmail Sent Mail
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Sent" tab.
- Find the email you sent to the recipient.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to the email subject.
- Click on "View original" from the dropdown menu.
- In the email source code, look for the "Delivered" and "Read" labels. If they are present, it means the recipient has seen or opened the email.
What do the labels mean?
- Delivered: This label indicates that the email was successfully delivered to the recipient's mailbox.
- Read: This label indicates that the recipient has opened or read the email.
Important notes:
- The "Delivered" and "Read" labels are not always accurate, as recipients may not always mark emails as read or delete them immediately.
- Some email providers, like Yahoo or Outlook, may not display these labels or may have different labels for similar information.
- Gmail's "Delivered" and "Read" labels are only available for emails sent from your Gmail account and may not be available for emails sent from other email providers.
