How to create a subfolder on mac mail
To create a subfolder on Mac Mail, you can follow these steps:
- Open Mac Mail and select the mailbox you want to create a subfolder in.
- Click on the "File" menu and select "New Folder" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + F).
- In the "New Folder" window, enter a name for your subfolder in the "Name" field.
- Click on the "Location" dropdown menu and select "Create in" > "Selected mailbox" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + >).
- Select the mailbox you want to create the subfolder in from the list.
- Click "Create" to create the subfolder.
Alternatively, you can also create a subfolder by dragging and dropping a folder into another folder. To do this:
- Open Mac Mail and select the mailbox you want to create a subfolder in.
- Drag and drop a folder into the mailbox you want to create the subfolder in.
- Release the mouse button when the folder is in the desired location.
- A new subfolder will be created with the same name as the folder you dragged and dropped.
You can also create a subfolder by right-clicking (or control-clicking) on a folder and selecting "New Folder" from the context menu.
Note: If you are using macOS High Sierra or later, you may need to use the "New Folder" option in the "File" menu instead of the "New Folder" window.
